Meet the Board




PRESIDENT:
TAYLOR SUBLETT

Taylor is in her final year of Utah Valley University’s nursing program, and she has loved every minute of it! Taylor currently works in the Neuro/Shock/Trauma ICU in Provo and loves the way the job makes her really think and use the skills she learned in school. Taylor is excited to serve as the USNA president and build on what here predecessors started.
VICE PRESIDENT:
HEATHER HARDY

Heather Hardy recently graduated from the ASN program from Utah Valley University and now works as an RN in the Neuro/ShockTrauma ICU and will earn her Bachelor's degree from UVU in May 2017. Heather serves on several committees within USNA. Also, she has had training from the Red Cross in disaster preparedness as well as a treasurer’s certification training from the NSNA.
SECRETARY:
KATELYN CHRISTENSEN
Katelyn is excited to serve as the USNA secretary because she loves to keep things organized. Katelyn attends Southern Utah University Nursing Program and will graduate with her BSN in April 2017. She is currently an LPN working at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Katelyn is passionate about learning and plans to continue her education pursuing a degree as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR:
KATIE BARTON

Katie enjoys her position as the USNA communications director because she gets to promote all things USNA and connect with student nurses across the state. Katie is a senior at Southern Utah University and will graduate with her BSN in April 2017. Katie knows nursing is the right career choice for her because she loves helping others live happier, healthier lives. 
JOSE GONZALEZ: BREAKTHROUGH TO NURSING DIRECTOR

Jose Gonzalez is a junior and pre-nursing student at Southern Utah University who aspires to be a cardiac nurse. Jose enjoys being part of USNA as the Breakthrough to Nursing representative because the position allows him to reach out to everyone who is interested in nursing, allowing him to share his passion. Jose's other passions include outdoor activities such as backpacking, camping, paddle boarding, and hiking to name a few of them.
NIKYSHA HARMISON: CONVENTION DIRECTOR
Nikysha Harmison is in the BSN program at Southern Utah University. Nikysha is interested in being an ER nurse because she likes a high paced environment that requires critical thinking. Nikysha is the convention director for USNA; this position involves planning for the convention that is on February 4, 2017. Nikysha invites everyone to come and learn from our amazing keynote and break out session speakers.
SHABAZZ WILLIAMS: REGION III DIRECTOR
Shabazz currently attends Utah State University Eastern in Blanding, Utah. He is currently interested in becoming an ER nurse. Shabazz enjoys this position because he is able to reach out to different schools to inform their student nurses about conventions and nursing events and to help them get the different exposure on nursing. Shabazz was also able to expand his perspective about nursing by collaborating with amazing and intelligent student nurses that he has met through USNA.
TYLER BAHORAVITCH: REGION IV DIRECTOR

Tyler is currently attending SUU and will be graduating from their BSN program in the fall. Tyler is the Region IV Director for beautiful Southwestern Utah and loves working with a team to improve nursing in our great state! Tyler loves to travel and the wonderful outdoors when he's not at the hospital.
KIM NATURAL:
REGION II DIRECTOR
Kim attends the University of Utah College of Nursing. She is currently interested in critical care nursing. As the Region 2 Director, Kim reaches out to colleges of nursing in the Salt Lake valley to assist and promote involvement in UtSNA as well as attend UNA meetings. Her favorite part of being a board member is interacting and meeting motivated nursing students across the state that are excited to enter and enhance the profession of nursing.
RIENEKE HOLMAN: FACULTY ADVISER

Rieneke is a professor in the Weber State University nursing program. She loves working with students and believes in promoting professionalism in nursing beginning at the student level. Rieneke specialized in labor and delivery nursing and loves to teach maternity nursing as well as pharmacology. Rieneke is currently working on her doctorate degree through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. 
REGION I DIRECTOR:
RACHEL IRISH
Rachel Irish is a nursing student in the WSU/USU program in Logan, UT. Rachel has always had a passion for nursing and caring for people. She wants to be a critical care nurse specializing in rural trauma. Rachel enjoys quilting, reading books, and spending time in the great out doors with her family. Rachel is happy to serve as the Region 1 Director.
FACULTY ADVISER:
DEANNE LARSEN

DeAnne is the Associate Degree Nursing Program coordinator and a professor at Dixie State University in St George. She is currently the faculty adviser for Region IV. DeAnne's clinical specialty is almost everything in Women’s and Children’s Services. She has been a nurse for over 30 years and has been teaching at Dixie State since 2008. DeAnne love teaching and mentoring nursing students and then watching them become accomplished, confident nurses.
